Galvalume is a highly durable, corrosion-resistant coating for steel roofing, developed by Bethlehem Steel in the 1970s. It's made by hot-dipping steel coils in a molten alloy of aluminum, zinc, and silicon. This coating, which can be left as a plain finish or painted, offers at least twice the corrosion protection of traditional galvanized steel.
